Early Childhood Development Initiative (ECDI) is committed to promoting positive early childhood development (ECD) and education for African children aged 0-12 in Canada and across Africa. In Canada, we deliver culturally relevant services to support healthy integration and settlement of families, with a focus on cultural identity retention. Our programs are geared towards sustaining cultural capacity and bridging gaps to enhance successful ECD, elementary education and family wellbeing. Across Africa, our efforts foster human capacity and nurturing care environments for ECD, play-based early learning, and primary education, to lay a solid foundation for positive life outcomes.
Our Mission: To promote optimal early childhood development (ECD) and strengthen education outcomes among African children 0-12 years
Our Vision: All African children aged 0-12 are equipped to reach their best developmental potential
