The early childhood care and education (ECCE) vocational training under the Ogun State Skills Fund (OGSF), is an intensive 3-month (Vocational Certificate 1) or 6- month (Vocational Certificate 2) training program.  Participants learn to:

• Plan and deliver stimulating learning activities for children 0 - 6 years old
• Create positive learning environments and classrooms
• Understand professional ethics and standard for Childcare

Course Content includes:

• Early childhood brain development
• Learning Through Play (LTP)
• Domains of early childhood development
• Health, Safety and Infant/child CPR
• Literacy and Numeracy skills in ECCE
• Adult literacy and numeracy
• Running your own business
• Practical Placement

Program Duration:

• Vocational Certificate 1 -  3 months intensive theory, practical and ongoing mentorship
• Vocational Certificate 2 -  6 months intensive theory, practical and ongoing mentorship. Certificate 2 participants receive additional training in self employment and childcare management.

If you are interested and meet the eligibility criteria below:

• Must be of Ogun State origin
• Have minimum Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) qualification or its equivalent
• Must be unemployed as at program application and commencement
• Must be between ages of 19 - 35 years old
